    OK, James, a question please:

    In this video, you press on the first point, and then you move your thumb downwards.

    In the book it says to “Move up the length of the big toe one thumb print at a time.”

    I took this to mean start at the middle of the foot an move up towards the ball of the foot.

    But have I got this wrong? Do you instead move across the foot?

      Hi there

      Welcome to the site. What you do is find the area that hurts and track the painful spasm with your thumb print applications. Don’t make it too technical because everyone is different. If it hurts and you apply the pressure you should feel the pain go down. If it doesn’t then move to another point

        OK, I’m doing this again today. It’s working quite well in my feet, but not so well in my calves.

        I have some exquisitely tender points in my calves. And no matter how long I hold them (like 5 to 10 mins) the pain doesn’t go. It reduces a bit, but doesn’t go away.

        Should I just move on to the next point?

        • I cannot tell you why you have the pain in your calves so Im sorry I cannot help you on that. You should bring the book to a health professional, show the doctor what you are doing and have them see why your calves are not responding.

    Ok, I’ve been doing this each day for a couple of weeks now.

    The tender points in my feet have almost gone. And with my calves, they used to be very sore to touch (but not when walking around or anything) but are now hardly sore at all.

    However the plantar fasciitis in my feet and the tendonitis I have on the inner, lower parts of my calves is still there and still feels the same.

    I have no idea if my spring is locked or unlocked. I’ve tried the tests in the book and think I’m passing them, but not sure at all.

    I am going to give the strengthening exercises a go today. Will be interesting to see how it goes.

    Dr Stoxen, I think I’ve overdone the strengthening workout. My plantar fasciitis has flared up. Feet/calves hurting and got small tingly/twitches going on all the time which I’ve had years and years ago.

    Do you have any advice for me please?
