Media Alert!! CNN Shanon Cook Interviews Anthony Field and Dr. James Stoxen DC

The Wiggles 1991 self-titled album launched a performing career that has lasted more than two decades. The Wiggles have performed more than 350 shows to more than 1.5 million fans since 2005 in the United States alone. But after 21 years and 39 videos/DVDs  three of the four original Wiggles, Greg Page, Murray Cook and Jeff Fatt, are hanging up their skivvies after they wrap up the Celebration Tour.

Only Blue Wiggle, Anthony Field will continue to perform with Emma Watkins, Lachlan Gillespie, and Simon Pryce, who have been handpicked by the group to become the Yellow, Purple, and Red Wiggle.

Anthony Field, also known as the “Blue Wiggle” of the most popular and successful children’s performing act out of Australia, “The Wiggles,” was smiling in front of the cameras and the crowds, but grimacing in pain backstage.

Resiliency is something Field has come to know well. In spite of the huge success of the group it hasn’t always been ‘lollipops and rainbows’.

Anthony Field shares on CNN

Anthony shares about how he had clinical depression and a variety of ailments such as a herniated disc, joint pain, migraines, digestive problems,  life-threatening illness and chronic pain.

After decades of failed treatments, he managed to turn his health around.

Anthony Field shares, “It all started with Dr. James Stoxen a chiropractor”

Dr. James Stoxen DC, popular with touring celebrities, his main advice for getting Field back on track didn’t exactly sound like ‘star treatment‘.

Dr. James Stoxen DC, CNN Interview

Dr. Stoxen shares, “When we decided to go barefoot, Anthony looked at me strange. When we wear footwear it becomes a binding device and it inhibits the natural motion of the human foot”.

By ditching his shoes as much as possible and committing to Dr. Stoxen’s lengthy treatment sessions, Dr. Stoxen calls, ‘the pain exorcism’ and revamping his diet, Field says that he is free of the pain that almost caused him to quit the Wiggles in 2004.

“I am in the best physical shape I have ever been in and i’m almost 50 now”  Anthony Field

The wiggles are on their Celebration Tour now throughout the summer.  This is the last tour with the four original Wiggles so don’t miss it!

Anthony Field shares about his inspiring, behind-the-scenes store of how he overcame chronic pain, depression and more with the help of Dr. James Stoxen DC and Dr. Richard Gringeri Dc in a healing memoir book written by Anthony Field and Greg Truman entitled, How I Got My Wiggle Back.

PRESS RELEASE:  Dr. James Stoxen DC will lecture at the 6th Annual A5M Conference In Anti-Ageing & Aesthetic Medicine August 18th – 19th 2012 In Melbourne, Australia.

A5M Anti-Aging Conference Melbourne Australia

Dr. James Stoxen DC has been asked give two presentations; ‘The Inflammation-Depression Connection‘ and ‘Run for Life! Barefoot or Shod?‘ to the medical physician delegates at the 6th Annual A5M Conference in Anti-Ageing & Aesthetic Medicine August 18th – 19th 2012 in Melbourne, Australia.

The Wiggles made headlines all over the world last week with the announcement that 2012 would be the final year of their original lineup. After 21 years of entertaining and educating children around the globe, Red Wiggle Murray Cook, Yellow Wiggle Greg Page and Purple Wiggle Jeff Fatt decided to hang up their trademark colored jerseys. Only the Blue Wiggle and group founder, Anthony Field has chosen to remain.

Given his current physical and mental uber condition, that decision should not surprise anyone. But it wasn’t always that way. As little as eight years ago it was Anthony who was ready to call it quits.

Anthony Field Before and After

In his new book, “How I Got My Wiggle Back,” Field details the surprising truth of the life hidden behind the public façade of the most popular children’s entertainer on the planet.

Having suffered from debilitating joint pain and chronic fatigue for years, Field often relied on pain-killers and band-aid treatments just to get through his busy, performance-filled days. He was ready to turn his back on the musical group and global business.  As he contemplated exiting The Wiggles, Field was introduced to Dr. James Stoxen DC, a Chicago chiropractor.

Known as the chiropractor to the stars Dr. Stoxen will discuss the mountain of scientific evidence that identifies inflammation as one of the key culprits in the spread of chronic pain and diseases of aging.  The centerpiece of Dr. Stoxen’s first presentation, Inflammation-Depression Connection, he will canvas the scientific literature and his clinical experience with the natural preventative and treatment methods he has developed which can have profound implications for depression sufferers and tens of millions facing premature aging and the rapid onset of diseases of aging.

In his second presentation, Run for Life! Barefoot or Shod? Dr. Stoxen will discuss the current research on barefoot running.  More importantly he will present an argument through scientific research as well as citing the laws of physics & engineering and served with a healthy portion of common sense that the current model used by the medical community, the lever model may not provide an accurate model for understanding how the body protects itself from over 250,000,000 collisions with the earth in our lifetime.  He will also present evidence for why the breakdown of this spring mechanism wont allow your body to recycle energy through this natural spring forcing your body to use more energy as it switches to a lever system.

He will give strong scientific evidence his human spring model which offers a new perspective on how to examine, treat, train and maintain the human body. Dr. Stoxen has, to much acclaim, outlined his Human Spring Model and Approach to just under 50,000 medical physicians and scientists from 60 countries at post graduate medical conferences in recent years, including the Royal College of Physicians in London, the SENS Conference in Cambridge, England and the International Bangkok Congress on Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine (BCAARM).

Known as the Barefoot Running Doctor, he will also give his argument why he runs barefoot and why he recommends doctors prepare their patients for barefoot running.  Anthony Field has embraced the barefoot lifestyle.

He will provide demonstrations of the treatment Field nicknamed, pain exorcisms and how to run barefoot.

Dr Stoxen will be available for interview:
CONTACT HIM AT: 312 375 7303 or by email teamdoctors
He will be in Melbourne Australia from August 17th – 20th,  staying at the Sofitel Melbourne on Collins

This is the first blog post from the writer who is preparing the feature story for the Malasia Star, the largest English paper in Malaysia.

I think she’s got it and can put a comical entertaining spin on it as well well for all the Wiggle fans in Malaysia.

This should add some color to the blue, red, yellow and red Wiggles and the Human Spring.

I love it!

Stay tuned for more wiggles pickles and foot tickles.

Q & A With Anthony Field
Good Reading Magazine Blog
March 27, 2012

Anthony Field is the creator and a founding member of the global phenomenon that is The Wiggles. Born in 1963 the youngest of seven children, he grew up in Sydney’s western suburbs. Anthony and his brothers Paul and John and purple Wiggle Jeff were members of the ′80s chart topping group The Cockroaches.

For the first time, Anthony tells his inspiring, behind-the-scenes story of how he overcame depression, life-threatening illness and chronic pain to get his life back.

Q: What were some of your favourite books when you were growing up?

Anthony: Well I would have to say Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl and The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith by Thomas Keneally.

Q: As the blue Wiggle, you obviously lead a pretty busy life. What books do you like to read to wind down and relax?

Anthony: Meditation books by Jean Vanier, my fave would be The Broken Body. I love biographies too.

Q: Are there any particular moments in your extensive career that stand out above the rest?

Anthony: The first few years, when we were loading in the PA system, driving ourselves miles and miles to do a show, playing ourselves and the characters, meeting people who had never heard of us, it was all very exciting.

Q: What books do you and your children like to read together?

Anthony: Well they are still very young, but they love Anthony Browne picture books and my oldest, Lucia, 8, loves ‘Ripley’s Believe It or Not!’ books.

Q: What can you tell us about your new book ‘How I got my Wiggle Back’? What led to its creation?

How I Got My Wiggle Back

Anthony: I was so thankful to the health professionals who saved my life and inspired me to work to become pain free. I wanted to produce a book which showed the world some natural cures and thanked these great healers.

Q: What would you like your readers to take away from How I got my Wiggle Back?

Anthony: That good health and a pain free existence are available to most people naturally. Yes you have to work at it, and yes you have to make lifestyle changes, but it will be worth it.

Q: How I got my Wiggle Back is quite a revealing and yet inspiring look into your personal struggles. What challenges did you face while writing your book?

Anthony: I couldn’t and wouldn’t delve too far back into some painful times, which I think really contributed to my clinical depression in later life.

Q: Who would you say have been the most inspirational people in your life?

Anthony: My parents, my fellow Wiggles, the doctors in the book and lately, famous Greek photographer Spiros Poros, whom has taken me under his wing and really helped me see things in a real Greek philosophical way.

Q: Can we expect another book in the future?

Anthony: I would love to write a book about some of the fun and inspiring people we have met on the road in the last 21 years, some funny stories, heart-warming stories and sadly some heartbreaking ones involving children with terrible diseases.

Q: Do you have any advice that you would like to offer to your readers?

Anthony: Health and happiness are attainable and yet they can be transient. Natural is best in diet and exercise. Take the steps, educate yourself on how our marvelous bodies work, respect your bodies and give them the best fuel and lots of rest. Enjoy life and love.
